What is a trust relationships ?

 

Trust relationships are an administration and communication link between two domains. A trust relationship between two domains enables user accounts and global groups to be used in a domain other than the domain where the accounts are defined. This domain trusts another domain to authenticate users for them.

Trust Relationship Between Two Domains

Subnet Mask: 255.0.0.0

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

Preferred DNS: 10.1.1.1

Preferred DNS: 192.168.1.1

Alternate DNS: 192.168.1.1(using ADDS DNS)

Alternate DNS: 10.1.1.1(using ADDS-16 DNS)

Domain Name: abc.local

Domain Name: admin.local














Now we will see 2 types of Trust Relationship between two domains.



 1.       One-Way Trust Relationship

 2.       Two-Way Trust Relationship



One-Way Trust Relationship: We will learn how to create One-Way Trust


Firstly, we will go Active Directory Domains and Trusts. Then go to properties of abc.local.
